Peter loves teaching. The look on a students face after they complete their first painting is always a delight. In fact he guarantees that he will get you up and running in about a month of weekly lessons of two hours duration. This does not mean you will be a master artist but it does mean that you will turn out student quality paintings and feel a level of confidence to go on and try new things.
The method he employs is the tried and true "hands On". Not just standing there talking about art. You will be taking a brush in hand and having a go. Of course, it's like riding a bike. At first you are lacking in confidence, and you are all over the place not knowing what to do. Never mind. Peter will grab that brush out of your hand and apply some magic guidance strokes and colours to your budding creation. His intention is not to correct you but to show you by practical demonstration on your own painting. He is your guardian angel in painting. This is the way you will start your journey in art. It is practical. Not theoretical.
